We just finished an incubator hatch of 17 lil ones today.
And one of our Orps hasn't left the nest( and golf ball) all day and seems broody. We don't want to set another clutch because we have more than enough chicks, so... hold our breath... and slipping 3 chicks under the hen tonight.
She was sorta standing in the nest and hadn't settled down on them so I will check in a few minutes to see how things are. I do wish she was more settled into broodiness but if we wait another day, I don't think the chicks will bond to her as well.
