Holding Wings Out While Perching

Hey all!

One of my girls- not sure if she's just hot or something- was letting her wings slouch slightly outward last night.

This normal or is she getting sick? :< She's been active as usual otherwise.

It was 78 or so.

I thought they were hot so I turned the AC on for a while. The other girls were fine.

Sometimes they do that for balance also. It looks like your roost is round. She may just be trying to stay vertical.

Mine have been like that nearly all day for about 2 months now....106 today and no signs of a cool down til October (as usual) poor hot girls. I have a broody too. I hope she makes it!

Oh man, that's seriously scary weather!!

Hey, I have an idea. If you grab a plastic bin and flip it upside down with bags of ice taped to its interior side, the cold air will sink down and the girls can perch underneath it! It'll act like an air conditioner/cooler system if it works properly (hot air rises, cool air sinks).
