Sorry it took me so long to update
Chickens are amazing!

She is doing so well and the huge hole just closed slowly by itself. I know she is a meat bird and that she might not live that long anyway but I wanted to give her a chance. She is so large though I am not sure how long her heart can survive, but as long as she is happy and wandering around the garden I am happy. You can see the purple still from when we were treating her. She has even started laying again

looks like she is molting. i have a limping hen, she has a hole under her wing and it's starting to scab but they are molting. the others might have pecked her but aren't bothering her now and she laid an egg today but they are definitely molting....feathers everywhere!!!
