Something tore/chewed a good sized hole in the roof of our coop which is made of roofing panels. My girls were unharmed, but one lost a chunk of feathers. Could this be a raccoon?

Yes, I have been fighting them for a month. They will chew a lot in a night.

Little rascals killed 25 quail in a week. I just had to rebuild all my coops and hatch more eggs.

What type of roof panels do you have?

A corrugated asphalt/cellulose blend from Lowes.

Ok. I have seen them chew there way through asphalt shingles and osb to get into an attic. They seem to have great resolve and will come back to get your birds.

Just out of curiosity...why not trap them and be done with it?
