I have an egg due to hatch on the 18th,when I checked on it this morning underneath the momma, it has a hole chipped when the air sac should be about the size of a dime. The inside sac is not punctured just the shell, do you think it will be ok or is there something I should do?

Maybe a thin film of Elmers Glue instead of the tape. Tape would be harder to break through & gets shiny at times, Mama may peck at it.

I dropped an egg on the counter (not fertile) it had hairline crack. I put a thin layer of Elmers glue, let it dry then stuck in the frig (last week). Had it for breakfast, all was well.

Air cell size of dime doesn't sound good for a day 14 egg.
Could be egg is not viable and mama's gonna eat it?
I would not intervene...mama usually knows best.
Has she hatched before?

I could see the chick still moving inside, and I just went outside to close my coop and check on it and it had just disappeared, there is no sign of it anywhere or any mess or egg shell, completely vanished

Ooops ... Did you try moving around the nesting material? Is the nest up or ground level? Look for the hen, is she hiding somewhere or with the flock? It's possible someone ate it? Kicked it out of the nest, someone ate it?

If she's hiding the chick could have hatched & she's go it in hiding.

I've moved the hen,the material, looked all around the coop, she's in the nesting box and it is off the ground. She has hatched eggs before and I have never had a problem finding the chicks and she stays only in the nesting box as there is another egg in there. It was such a short period of time from when I saw the hole to this issue.
