I am going to try the carton method this hatch. Is it a good idea to put holes in the bottom of the carton. i am going to use a cardboad carton.
When do you put the eggs in the carton? On day 18 or when they start to roll?

The ones I saw here had the bottoms cut out for air to circulate, I guess. My question is, will it be alright to use the clear plastic cartons? I don't think the temps would be high enough to emit fumes or anything, do you? Day 18 is the time to set them in the cartons and crank up the humidity. Get everything right, then DO NOT OPEN THE BATOR AGAIN FOR 5 DAYS. That's what the "dry incubation" man says. Humidity is the main thing until they hatch. I've got 8 days to go with my cochin and silkie eggs. Good luck!!
