Hi, my name is Holly. I am from Parker, CO and am married, with one child (high school freshman) still at home. I am new to chicken raising and very excited about it.
I have 6 chicks that are about a week old. 1 silver laced Wyandotte, 1 gold laced Wyandotte, 1 white silkie bantam, 1 blue Cochin bantam, 1 silver laced polish and 1 buff Orpington. I have a coop that my hubby is fixing up that we got from a friend. And my husband is going to make me a new big dream coop and run. (It's great to have a handy hubby!) I am looking forward to my chicken-raising journey and eventually getting eggs. :)

I would love to hear stories about people with similar breeds and pics of yr dream chicken coops and any sage advice you may have. Thnx!

Wow! It sounds like you are off to a great start. My hubby isn't handy but my dad is (still helping me out!). I love your mix of birds. I started with a variety too so I could see what I liked. Only problem is I seem to like them all! Beware of chicken math :)
