Hi Everyone, thank you in advance for your help! Happy Spring! I haven't hatched chicks for quite a while, but was interested in incubating some Orpington eggs. These eggs survived a lot from shipping to mishandling along the way, and they're hatching! So far two are completely out of the egg, and the one of these has a ginormous comb - when she fluffs up a little bit and gets better moving around, more likely in the next day or two, I'll post pictures. I know there's no real way to detect gender and I've never had pure Orpingtons before. I have generally been more of a gal that hatches bantams and smaller breeds like silkies. The other two hatchlings do not have combs of this size, is that an indicator of anything? Thank you so much! I am so grateful for everybody here!
