holy crap! quail hatch fast!

i have five quail eggs that are due tomorrow. i also have some chicken eggs incubating. i could smell one of them rotting, so i took a chance and opened the incubator to find the nasty one. after sniffing a bunch of eggs, i found the culprit (chicken egg). i took it out, closed the incubator and went outside to dispose of the egg. came back in, and a quail had hatched! there were no pips, nothing. he must have just burst out!

Not only do quail hatch fast they grow fast my 6 day old quail are twice the size of the 3 day olds

Interesting. I am interested in hatching quail in the future. I was not aware that you could hatch the two together. Do they incubate at the same temp as the chicken eggs? How long do they incubate as compared to chickens? Congrats on your success.
