Holy Duck Eggs!

I find that many people are happy to take free duck eggs - perhaps it's my sales pitch!

The BEST for baking! Creamy, big yolks! Much more vitamin B12 than chicken eggs! These ducks are loved!!!

During a stretch of snowstorms we got a little behind on the distribution, but I give them away to the oil delivery guy, neighbors I have just met, several neighbors are regular recipients, former coworkers, current coworkers . . . I guess I'm in a demographic area of duck egg eaters.

I think they can be beaten and frozen to use later, yes?

Make a recipe called a Breakfast Strata! It uses 8 eggs in one fell swoop. You can even make it then freeze it for later or make the strata and give the strata away--people will eat that! ....just google those words and you'll find these recipes for a yummy bread casserole.

I think you should try and auction off some of your eggs. I bid on some "mutt" eggs a few weeks back. I had to do bidding battles with several people. It never hurts to try. I think you'd be surprised how many people just want pet ducks reguardless of breed.

if they are fertile ebay, if you are not sure eat em and sell them at the local flea market. make a sign $5 for 1/2 dozen. Someti,es the price is enough to get people interested in these more expensive eggs.....

Really? Wow they sell for twice the amount of Chicken eggs around here. I see ducks eggs sell for $4-$5 a dozen! I just ate my first duck egg tonight and I am hooked! So much richer tasting than a chicken egg IMO.

My ducks just started laying and I have only gotten 5 eggs so far...only 2 hens are laying right now and today I didn't get any

I would gladly take them off your hands if I could!

I have just one hen and she has started laying. I ate two of them so far. I think that they have a different texture, so I mixed them with chickens eggs. I have 9 babies, so I am looking forward to more duck eggs so I can sell them at the farmer's market!

I have only seen duck eggs for sale at Asian Markets in my area, maybe you can look into selling them there.

I have two full timers and one that lays about every second day at the moment and heading into winter- there is no way I am going to keep stacking the incubator each week right now. I give mine to a few neighbours- as a token of thanks for putting up with the noise my flock sometimes makes. I dont know if they eat them- cook with them- or throw them away- but they are always happily received.
