A friend and I talked today and decided to split the cost of a craft show booth. I went and got a bunch of supplies and after calculating everything, I rounded it down to 80lbs of soap after it's all made into soap (not counting whatever is left over of the raw oils). Can you say holy freaking soap?! I'm so excited. I have a batch ready to be mixed with lye now, but I didn't have time tonight to sit around and mix it for hours, so I just kept them seperate until tomorrow. We have a bunch of other stuff planned for the craft shows too, but soap is the big thing for me.

That's a lot of soap! I hope you can sell it all and make some good money.

Thank you, me too! I need to get cheapy business cards made. I'm setting my goals for covering the table and materials. I'm not looking for profit right now, just looking to get some repeat customers basically.

If I make profit this go around, I'll be so excited that I'll be farting rainbows.

Try Vista Print for your biz cards. They have really good service and great prices.

Is this your first show? I was so nervous for my first show! Good luck and I hope you sell out!

Here are a few tips that I have found really helped sales.

-Stand and smile and greet everyone you can. They will stop and reply most people anyway, and then your can get them to look at your soaps.
-Have a short speech memorized that tells the customer a little bit about your soaps. That way when you get nervous you are not fumbling for words. Mine kinda goes like this "Hello. How are your doing? I make all the soap myself from scratch. I have some all natural essential oil scented soap and fragrance oil soaps. This (what soap) is my favorite, would you like to smell it?"
-If you can, get some multiple height in your display.
-Always try to keep your table looking full.
-Samples with your biz card are great.

Good Luck!

If you have a card software program you could make your own business cards and use Avery #28877 template for Clean Edge Business Cards. Very, very inexpensive. That's what I do
