the goldens the past few days (young goldens some which have probably came from my rosetta pens) have started laying, and they've been getting greener and greener.....until that thing! LOL Whoever layed it had a hard time laying it the egg itself was fractured in many places so i wont be incubating it but had to show it!

Okay I have a sorta off topic question : do courtnix lay different colored eggs day to day, or is one 'hens' always the same color throughout the birds life (without taking fading into consideration)?

they are pretty random...I mean for the most part they lay the same eggs daily but ive seen the same hen lay entirely different eggs...they aren't like chickens that lay a normally stable colored egg that just fades as they get older.. these birds can spot, or not spot at all, blue eggs, pure white eggs, tan eggs brown eggs and GREEN eggs
