Holy Toledo Batman, I just picked up 9 bantams from the Post Office that I DID NOT ORDER!

Seriously. I did not order these. I thought when the PO called to say my chicks were in, that they were just confused, since I DO have several orders of hatching eggs coming this week. But NOOOOO, these are LIVE chicks! I have NEVER ordered chicks through the mail before. NEVER! I always go pick them up. I do know that about 6 months I placed an order with MPC, but cancelled it almost immediately. Refunded my money and everything! These are THOSE chicks!

Here's what's in the box ... blue silkie, buff silkie, white silkie, 2 easter eggers bantams, mottled cochin bantam, black frizzle cochin, white crested black polish bantam, and mille fleur bearded d'uccle. All females. Thank Goodness.

I don't even own any bantams right now! Thank Goodness we started Coop Two last weekend. Holy Toledo Batman I am in BIG TROUBLE. DH is gonna KILL ME!!!!

I swear, I did not order these. I swear.

P.S. - They are totally flipping cute.

Quote: well the good news is you don't have to pay for them. People aren't required to pay for things they didn't order. I don't think MPC will want them back either.
Best,
Karen

Somewhere out there is someone wondering where their order is! Did you call MPC? Please do, so at least the one who's missing chicks can know what happened! Especially if you have a common name - ours once got sent to the wrong family in the wrong state - just because I've got a common name!

You could always try to auction them on this board.....just saying.....even if they are super cute......which we all know they are.....but still......it's an option! Or hey, stick them under a broody!

No, the order is not someone else's. I checked my order that was cancelled 6 months ago and it is identical. I actually put some of them on Craigslist, but then immediately cancelled the ad. These were chicks that at some point in time I had wanted, so I guess I will wait a few weeks until I really am sure what to do. I also need to check my checking account to see if they actually ended up charging me again.
