you can drop the temp about 5 degrees a week, starting with 95 on week one. if you are at 5 weeks, you can drop the temp down to about 70ish now. my guess is they could use more weening from the heat and a larger broody box, large enough to be able to get away from the heat lamp and get used to ambient temps. if temps allow, I'd take the lid off the let the temp cool a bit, they will feather out faster. be careful of that heat lamp and all that plastic and cardboard, if the plastic touches the bulb at all, it will melt and can cause a heat fracture in the bulb and it can blow and or catch fire and that's no fun.
