Home made automatic coop door question

Ok I caught up and looked everything over, your dpdt switch that is complicating everything is the simple solution! Lose the two 12v relays your switch will do their job. Pins #13 and #14 go to the photo sensor, pin #9 fused 12v positive and pin #12 12v negative as of there, with light you will have power out #5 ground out #8, without light you will have power out #1 and gound out #4.
Now for door down, pin#4 is 12v negative to motor and pin #1 is 12v positive to limiting switch then to motor you will have to test the motor to see which wire goes to which motor wire for the direction you desire. Now door up pin # 8 is 12v negative to motor on same wire that door down positive went, pin# 5 12v positive goes through limiting switch to motor wire that door down negative went. If you still struggle maybe JT can draw this one up or I can draw it up by hand

I read the schematics and know it will work wasn't trying to knock it at all, just seemed like there was some confusion on making it work with what he had. I was trying to simplify it and add in some safety as another option, didn't mean to insinuate it didn't work or step on your toes sorry if I offended Jt

I think the problem is with his motor and power supply at this time, so I was trying to help him trouble shoot down to the basics.

I and have done various ways to make a reversing DC motor and find this way the wiring is the most straight forward to me and IMHO the safest way. But I don't think like a lot of people lol... like don't ask me what color to paint your house as I have no clue about color combinations.

No offense taken, I was just trying to point out that the wiring diagram is a proven one. And yes a fuse is a good thing to have in most cases. I have stalled the motor on my first door for hours on end but the power supply didn't have enough watts to really do much more than make it a tad warm. I did spend a lot of coding time on a time out function for my Raspberry Pi controlled door just because I don't like a stalled motor even if it is not an issue.
