home made incubator from day 1

I did open the vent 3 quarters of the way. The temp regulates itself pretty well. I am torn because while I do not want anyone to drown, I don't want any to shrink wrap either. Although I cannont see any other external pips so I think they should be okay. I just have to remember that this is just day 19,

I am not sure why chick #1 decided. She needed to come so early!

good luck post pics can't wait to see.

Mine pipped on the underside also and it was extremely hard to see anything. I chose to leave mine be and she did fine. The shell had a perfect little zip and everything was absorbed.

Unfortunately, she is still by herself! :(
I am learning patience - sort of.

I have very little experience to go off of, but that's what I did.

Good luck and keep updating!

Thanks I will leave it be I don't want to open the incubator unless I have to. They love hearing chirping sounds my eggs start rocking and some chirp!!

So the chick hasent made any progress over night should i help it I'm afraid that its membrane is too sticky and it can't turn its poked a hole but hasent moved from there. How can I help it should I?

Amber I just saw - how did things go? Did you help?

I got home from a workshop and had seven little lovelies!

But I also had one that had started to zip, stopped for some reason and no movement - no matter how much I "peeped" at her or played the chicks chirping from you tube.
