Who here gas made their own incubator? Prices for incubators are super duper high right now and I know that a lot of you have made your own incubators. So, I would love to see some of them right now (Post pics and talk about them)!

Lets get this show on the road!

I am brand new to chickens and made my own incubator out of an ice chest. I still have about 3 days until lockdown, but they are all (6) growing and thriving! I have had a few instances where my temp jumped way, way too high, but for the most part it's stayed stable.

Wow nice! Do you have pics? :)

How about this one....

Picked up a broken wine fridge for $20, added 12v power supply, wafer thermostat, sponge in plastic tray for humidity and large digit thermometer hydrometer.

All this (except for the wine fridge and wafer thermostat was laying around the house. So I think I have less than $50 in this incubator.

Going to let it run for a week to make sure the temps keep stable (right now it only varies by a 2 tenths of a degree. I wired the thermoelectric cooler backwards and now it produces heat. (When originally connected without a thermostat it went up to 180 degrees.)

And to top it off the inside fan constantly runs to keep the air moving.....
