home made sprays to kill mites in roosting area?

Need to know if there is any homemade sprays or anything that would kill mites?

Hello,

I don't really think there are many because you need to be careful that it wont be harmful to your pets. There are insecticides that come in powder form that say that they are safe for animals, but make sure that it says that! Then you just clean out the coop, lay down the powder, put in the bedding, and then lightly dust the bedding.

That's all I can think of, which really isn't home made unless you already have it lying around. I hope I helped at least a little!

I buy 'total mite kill' in concentrate and use that to clean, disinfect and de-mite http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=947&pf_id=55825&co=fr

You can buy it ready mixed too, but the concentrate is better value.
