Good morning everyone, I had a visit with my insurance company yesterday evening, reviewing my whole portfolio with them, and out of curiosity I brought up my interest in raising chickens next spring. She informed me that if I own even just 3 chickens I then have to be insured under a "hobby farm" I havent looked any deeper into this to see how hard it will be to get set up, or how expensive its going to be,. I live in Nova Scotia Canada, if there are anyone out there with experience in this id love to hear what troubles you encountered. I dont want this to put a damper on my chicken dreams lol, but it has sort of freaked me out a little.

Huh??? Sounds to me they are just trying to sell more insurance! Never heard of it here in the States...
