You had my attention for the first paragraph, and then.....
Unfortunately , most people who buy and administer antibiotics haven't the froggiest idea of what they're doing. They just throw whatever they thing might work at the issue.

That is so true! I don't get on here recently enough, and I might sound bad... its not intentional nor intended to attack anyone. I promise!
I am not a know it all, but do speak/type my thoughts... maybe the expressions are not sugar coated enough if I/it offends anyone (that is not my Intent!)... Then again I have had 2 strokes and even died once (they say)... but I think that was just said as a fake claim to Jack up the overpriced bill or help justify the future vacation plans, new car, etc. LOL

I have seen this same (genie pig scenerio) thing in the medical line as well. Docs often play hit and miss game on the subject. (Try this and if it doesn't work.. Come back $$$ and WE will try something else!)
What is up with this Weeee BS? Its not a fun ride and I am the only one suffering! x2 . sick and $$$. (I.... meaning you, me, he, her, it...anyone/anything.)

Not boasting... but I did help tutor 4 trough the health care so they could get the sheet of paper... then act totally different there after. Funny, I have a sheet of paper as well hanging on my wall... but it does not make me better nor smarter... In fact more often it makes me realize how dumb I truly am.

I am curious about this as well.
about 2 years ago (I think) you could buy several types of antibiotics for most all farm life and Auqa / Fish.

However, (being a Trump supporter)... Now you cant seem to find it anywhere.
I use to keep FishMox (amoxicillin) on hand for my critters needs... now you cant find it as if they closed the doors on anything we use on the farm.

BTW.... I think you can make a weak version of Amoxicillin from feeding molded bread to the birds.

I am not saying it is because of (my president) D.J. Trump... it just seems to be a good landmark/era that it is no longer OTC and now requires a Perception.... AGAIN.

Kind of like Prohibition.... It was legal, then Illegal, the legalized again once someone else got a piece of the pie!
The logic... a lot of it was bad stuff if not regulated...Humm?
BTW... Buy a cheap Liquor Today....and you can smell the (Acetone/fingernail polish remover) in it today/2026!
A Lot of good the Gubbermunt regulations/censors are in place.
