Home remedy for excema??

Does anyone have a home remedy for excema? I am afflicted with it and unfortunately passed it on to my daughter. She has a spot on her foot that looks just horrible right now. Don't want to take her to the doctor because they will just give us a cream with steroids in it. Trying to avoid that!

The goat milk soap my DW makes has done wonders for our youngest daughter. With all the fats and vitamin E in the soap it's not surprising. One thing we have started doing is giving her a quick shower instead of a long bath. It seems the less time under water, the better it gets.

Has she had any allergy testing? My sister used to get it really bad until we found out what was causing the flares. Cows milk & cheeses, strawberries, potatoes, and wheat. She eliminated those and increased her intake of natural fats--olives, nut butters, goats milk, etc..
