I was cruising through some photos of part of my property in several seasons, some with glimpses of the chickens and/or guineas I used to own. I miss those goofy things! Anyway, just decided to post them tonight. The entire property is 5.37 acres, but we are selling 3.15 acres of it in order to pay off the mortgage on the house and remaining acreage, the part that we actually live on. (naturally, chickens are allowed, LOL! So is every other livestock animal except pigs, per covenant rules)

Very pretty, even the snow.

I hate when it snows here, 2 snow flakes fall and everyone forgets how to drive, speeding to pick up milk & bread.

When it snows, we just hunker down by the soapstone stove and get toasty warm, after the chickens are taken care of, naturally. It isn't a fancy house, but the man who built it was a stickler for insulation, so it stays comfy without using the heatpump at all in the winter, just the woodstove.

You are not kidding! When I was in Utah the last time (lived there twice), we had over 100" of snow that winter and no one was the least bit stressed by it. Here, they panic.

I LOVE SNOW!!!!!!!! I hope we get 100 inches (as long as our snowblower doesn't break) This winter. I think the winter/snow make us appreciate the other 3 seasons more.

Cynthia,

Your place is just beautiful! I love roses and have several antiques. They are beautiful in the spring, but by the middle of summer they look like dead twigs. I have several clematis vines too!

Very charming!
