I've got a big vegetable garden in which I grow almost all of the produce I need. I'm wondering what I can add for the chickens I'll be raising later this spring. I've got millet on my list and thought I'd add sorghum and sunflowers What else can I add?
Thanks!

Mine love kale, collard greens, cucumbers, peppers and all kinds of squash (both summer and winter). It's by no means a complete feed, but it gives them some variety.

I would grow stuff that human can eat and give the scrap to the chicken.... lettuce would fit pretty well. I would refer few plum trees, but keep it at manageable height.

I grow fodder in the winter in the house black oil sunflower seeds wheat, lentils. Things you could grow in garden Peas would be good for sprouting. I grow squash pumpkins for them they love it and eggs are great after eating them. I grew winter kale for them last year it was a big hit they loved it the stuff is actually still green in the garden now and it was 4 degrees this morning it will be interesting if the stuff takes off when it warms up, I fed it till December it’s a good one.

I've got kale, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower still producing in the garden, plus turnips, rutabagas and carrots. I've got sweet potatoes and winter squash in the basement. Looks like my chickies will be eating well!
