Homemade Barnwood Farm Signs

saw sign yesterday at the end of the driveway on the way to town. thought of your signs, (Not near as nice) sign read, WARNING THIS PLACE GUARDED BY FIRE ANTS had a pix of fire ants between warning and guarded by. marrie

Hey msbear...do you ever do any small ones? I was thinking of getting about 6-10 signs that are maybe 4-5" tall and 6-8" long with a breed name & maybe small outline on them? We're remodeling my coop and each breed will have it's own coop/run... and I think the signs will make it easier for those rare times I'm out of town or sick and my hubby gathers eggs. Heck, I'd even trade you some of my mille fleur cochin eggs?

They're not laying yet but it's a thought.

Yeah, I could do it ...probably $10 a sign and it would not have frame because that would cost us some time and I think you want to keep it as simple as possible. I have the perfect boards for them as well. ..they are about 5" wide and they are straight-edged so you would get the natural gray edging.

I would love a sign with a yelloww cottage on it surrounded by tall pine trees with the name Pine Hill Farm. Thanks!

A fellow West Virginian!!

If you have a picture of the cottage, I would use that one... or you could find one you like online and I could use that one. I could do a sign like "Radiant Lake" on my page. That was a $100 sign. This one would be similar in amount of words, detail in the trees and cottage.

Just email me the pics so I have something to go off of. Then I will work up a sketch for you and include several font choices for your wording. [email protected]

Ok Tracey. Here is your sketch. It's going to take me a bit longer to find the exact font you like... have it somewhere

but this one is kinda close for you to get an idea.

I tried to draw the poultry in different positions as to not make them appear like they are all posing

but we can still move them around the house if you'd like as well as flip them the opposite direction.
