Maybe thats my problem...I have a 60w bulb in and it cycles every 15-20mins and fluctuates temp too much....gonna chuck in a 40w and see what happens.

I also think the probe on my thermostat, being long, takes a while to adjust to small temp changes.

Also my fan is behind the bulb to blow its heat around. It has tap washers behind it to alow air to circulate behind it.

I think the thermostat in mine has a lot to do with the too-large swings in temp.

My THEORY is that with the higher wattage bulb, the temps go up and down too fast for the thermometer to adjust itself and respond quickly.

I'm hoping the smaller wattage bulb will allow it to go up and down more gradually and give the thermostat time to react well to the changes...

So far so good - the range has gone from about 4 degrees to less than 3, but now I'm having to fiddle around to get it to average 99.5...

Well, delivered the incubator over to the school today - it was running very steady here and hopefully it will there too!

AND Lisa's eggs came today so now it's just a day's wait until we get them in the bator! I'll post here and let you all know how the bator and turner works out.
