I got my "chic bator" (AKA Miss Prissy bator) completed and running. I too am having difficulty getting the temp regulated. I still need to get the water weasel and another thermometer with a probe. I found a nice one in Walmart in the kitchen gadgets area. It's for bar-b-queing meat and actually has an alarm on it. You can set it for....say 101 degrees and if the water weasel temp gets above that, the alarm will go off. I think it was around $14.00.
The computer fan that I used was given to me by my daughter's boyfriend and has a blue LED light. I thought I was going to hate it but it's really cool. When the light bulb goes off via the thermostat the inside remains eerily blue and you can see everything inside. This will be handy when the chics are hatching...(Yes, I'm counting my chicks before they hatch!!) I took pics but left my thumb drive at home. I"ll post pics this evening.
