Homemade bators'- Hot water Heater VS Wafer Thermostat?? your exp's

The solid state is the best on the market. They cost morebut only have 1/4 to1/2 degree differential. I have them on 2 homemade incubators and have hatched over 600 birds now with 90% plus sucess.

Digital home thermostats can be used but they take a bit of modifying to get them to go that high. Mechanical home thermostats can be adjusted to work great. both need a relay run that much power. Hot water thermostats can handel the power but they do have a large range. Wafers react faster than hot water thermostats and slower than house thermostats but they can run the power without a relay.

well...the electronic thermostat is electronic..the "thermostat complete" that you posted is a "wafer" thermostat. the electronic is much better.
