I am going to build me a cabinet style incubator and was wondering if the fan just blows on the back side or will I need to build a false back (hollow wall) to circulate the air to the bottom and back up? Any info would be welcome.

My sports man has a false wall. It draws air in the bottom. which pullshot air down! ad blows out top. through theheating element and over the water tub.

Good Luck and God Bless!

So the fan is in the bottom? Is the heating element mounted on the bottom or top of the upper section? Thank you!

I'm working on designing one also, and think I will put my heating element on the bottom. Heat rises, it just makes more sense to me.

I figure out a cheap way to build a cabinet incubator. What I did was go to my TSC and purchased 2 heaters they had on sale. I took the fans and heat elements out and am using them for my incubators. I have found this to be cheaper than purchasing the fan kits my my poultry supply. Don't know if this helps anyone, just thought I would add this to help save on cost. I got the heaters for 19.00 bucks apiece.

That's a great idea! I have a heater fan that has digital thermostat control, wonder if that would work? I could use the whole thing and just mount it at the bottom!
