Homemade feed

I looked into chicken feed recipes last spring when I first got my chicks. There are YouTube videos on this topic, you can find some recipes in Raising Chicken books, and most likely if you do a Google search on the internet. Having said that, I came to the conclusion that I was better off buying commercial feed that was already premixed and protein rated for the age of my birds. If you have access to free grains, then I guess mixing your own feed would be an advantage. If you insist on total control of your feed, then I suppose mixing your own would be the way to go.

A good source can be found at Fertrell.com They used to have a page of different rations both soy & soy fee, but they still have basic ones on their website.
