homemade flock block/chicken suet

has anyone ever made a flick block or chicken suet, i was wondering what do you use to harden it, i have heard that some people use fat and i was wondering if that is okay to use? if someone can give me some info it would be greatly appreciated.

I have! You can use peanut butter, lard, or coconut oil. I made one that was more of a loaf of bread. They loved it, but it only lasted a couple minutes. My chickens love a mixture of bird seed, peanut butter, and lard. Heat up, stir up, and freeze.

thank you, so if you use peanut butter do i have to bake it and then let it cool?
