Homemade hair conditioner recipes?

Help!!! I ran out, and town is an hour away. I have long hair that is like one great big knot today. Does anyone know any way to improvise?

This may sound gross but I have heard people using mayo for conditioner

Brush out the knots from the bottom going up about an inch each brush and use a comb rather than a brush? Sorry, don't know any conditioner recipes. I can sit on the ends of my hair and always keep an extra costco sized bottle of conditioner in store just in case. Hate to be without it. Best of luck!

Avacodo! Mash it and put it on your hair, leave on for a bit then wash out. Works wonders.

I've heard both mayonnaise and avocado. Don't know if it would also act as a detangler, but will definitely soften it. And what is mayo?? Why, it's egg whites!!! If you're running low on mayo, just try some egg whites!!

This may sound crazy, when I was in school, if I ran out of conditioner I would use Downy, just a little bit mixed in a glass of water, works great.

A tiny bit of olive oil... or any kind of oil... but just a wee bit.

* A drop or 2 of hand lotion works-- esp. the ones with silicons in them.
