I like to experiment with homemade hatchers. I found this box on a burnpile, I think it is a potato box? It is about 1' across by about 2'' tall. I put a light 25w with heat shield in the bottom screwing out the back pannel to place the cord coming out. The back pannel had press board with holes, I coverd it up with cardboard. I put a wire basket held by nails on top, w/mini quilt. The lid was wood, with what was like a wood pic frame surrounding. I took out the wood center and taped cardboard with air holes and a pic glass on top. holds temp good too. These eggs have been in about 5 days.

Looks awesome!

homemade bators I set for just under 102( best for still air)- I dry hatch normally, but this set up is larger than my regular cardboard box, I will just toss in a damp paper towel every other day or so and watch the air cells, and ad more water or less depending on the air cell size. I am not concerned.
