Hi All,
I am in need of some education!! I am in the process of making an incubator and I just do not understand humidity control. I live in Florida and sometimes get humidity in the range of 80%. 45 to 60 % is pretty normal. So my questions are:

How many holes do I need in my incubator?

How big should they be?

where should they be?

It is going to be @30 inches tall X 16 inches deep X 22 inches wide, with heater ( 2 light bulbs ) in the top, fan in the top. pushing air down side channels into the bottom, with room for a water tray /sponges in the bottom at the air exhausts. If anyone can help me get a starting point, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks, ....stan

Drill two holes in the same wall about the size of a quarter. One at the very top an one at the very bottom. On the bottom one screw a lid or jar flat over it with only one screw. That way you have a gate that you can close a little if needed.

The top one is to expell humid air, and the bottom is to add fresh air ? Is that right?? The top of mine will be under a slight positive pressure from the fan exhaust. Is this still what I should do??..thanks for the reply.........stan
