New to the thought of building a (do all ) incubater we have chickens, peafowl, and guineas. I want to build an incubater in my coops for the birds that do lay but never sit (don't know why?) on the nest. We have peafowl that set on the nest but only hatch a few (most were damaged by others). We try to sell their offspring to pay for the feed and supplies for our bird shelter/nursinghome. anyone have a suggestion ( have read most of the forums on homemade incubaters but I have so many questions on useing plywood and styrofoam sheets and how many lights per square foot and so on thanks again Mike
