Homemade incubator using an immersion water heater

I wonder if something like this:

would work for heating the incubator. If the heater is in the water and then the fan blows over the water, it should heat up the air in the incubator to the appropriate temperature (with a thermostat installed).

Any pro's con's experiences using this method?

Well, I am thinking it won't work....you may need more or less humidity than it would create and you might need more/less heat than it would create. In my opinion you need seperate elements to idependently control the two...I really like the idea though!

To be clear, I actually don't need an incubator, just a hatcher. The incubator does great, but I fear I may be drowning the babies in the shell by not having a low enough humidity for the first 18 days due to rotating hatches through and so was thinking to keep it dry in the big cabinet for the first 18 days and then having a separate box for hatching.

This is why I was thinking maybe using hot water to keep the incubator up at temp as it will also ensure good high humidity for the hatching part.
