Homemade incubator?

I may be making this out to be easier than it is... From what I have read in the homemade incubator contest thread, I am thinking I could build a box around an egg turner, add a bowl of water and hang a heat lamp over the top. Add a thermometer and if it was to hold the right temp, it might/should work?
