Homemade Legbands from Colored Straws

Yeah I can tell my australorps from my black stars, but I can't tell them same breed apart from one another. Luckily I got one australorp with a spotted face so my little Maddie can be identified quickly. But my 6 anconas are identical and they even all ACT the same. I bought a package of plastic rings that are labelled "Super Chinese Jacks." They are supposed to be a childrens toy but will work perfectly when my chicks are a little bigger!

This is a great idea. I currently use tiny rubber chick leg bands from eBay. I recently had one twist and was too tight around the chick's leg and it cut off circulation. Now he can't use that leg. He gets around but I feel awful.
