You can airpop popcorn without an airpopper or using the stovetop!

1. Find a paper bag that's roughly the size of a lunch bag.

2. Throw in a handful of popcorn kernels.

3. Fold bag top over and secure with a strip of scotch tape. You don't need much - just enough to keep it folded.

4. Place in microwave on high for 5 minutes. Listen for popping to slow to 1 second between pops. Mine takes just 2.5 minutes.

5. Pour into a bowl, garnish & enjoy!

You can reuse the bag, as the microwaving process will soften the tape and make it easy to remove.

ha! i secretly knew there had to be a cheaper way! nice tip!

Nope, the bag doesn't burn, nor does the tape. You can reuse the bag, too.

Proof positive: there's an empty bowl on the couch next to me, and a paper bag in my kitchen. I've used the bag several times already and it's 100% a-ok.

ONLY if you nuke it too long. Then it wiil burn, but it takes 4 minutes or more in a 600 watt microwave for it to flame. Yum, I am headed for the popcorn!

I like BUTTER on mine, would I put the butter in the bag after it is popped or put it in bowl?

Dang, I wished for both of those things....paper bag AND popcorn!
