Does anyone make up their own scratch? What are you using? We feed our hens organic laying pellets from Blue Seal but we can not find organic scratch plus our hens leave most of the scratch/corn laying on the ground for the chipmunks to eat. I was thinking about mixing up some grains for them. Here is what I was thinking about mixing
Bulgar Wheat, Wheat Berries, Barley, Oat Groats, Raw Sunflowers seeds, flax seeds and oatmeal. Can they eat all of these? I reading another thread and they said cook the barley you feed to the chickens. Do I have to cook these things?
One last question what about Quinoa uncooked? or cooked?
