homemade waterer question

They can be right side up. Don't ask me why people turn 'em. Just put your finger over the hole if the water spills out faster than it fills. My water pressure is good so I don't lose much water during filling.

Mine is right side up and I just fill it outside so that when it overflows it is out in the grass then snap on the lid and wait for it to correct itself and put it back in the coop..
