Homeschool thread!

I'm Elizabeth, and I'm in 8th grade. (I still haven't finished 8th, but I really need to  ) I am using Seton Home Study School and Teaching Textbooks for math. I only have to finish Religion and Grammar now.

I want to be homeschooled so badly :hit

Have any of y’all looked into dual enrollment at your local Community Colleges?
I’m not home schooled but I’ve been taking some college classes at my high school instead of the “normal” classes. I only took one my freshman and one my sophomore year but this year I’m taking I think 3.

Well due to Acellus tripling their prices, I will be starting a new program when I finish my Freshman year in a few months. We’re looking into a program called Monarch.
Let me know what you think of monarch. I've heard good things about it. I homeschool my kids and it's really awesome to hear actual opinions on some of the other programs. My girls do time 4 learning, which is geared more towards younger kids I think, but they enjoy it and we also utilize work books....
Hopefully you don't mind me poking in as a mom and not a student

I will! It’s fine, this isn’t just for students. :)

I’m supposed to have finished 9th (I haven’t). We’re in the same boat.

Poking in as well as a Mom. We tried Abeka first and then moved to Acellus for the past 3 years. Our daughter just completed her first year of college and our son will be attending a military boarding school starting this week for high school.

For STEM minded kids, Acellus was better for us.
