Hi there!!
I’m at a place in life (SAHM who is done with the baby stage!) where I’m considering ways to make my little homestead pay for itself. (And then some if possible but not counting on it.) Looking for ideas! With all the regulations, it seems challenging to be able to make any sort of income from home. Much easier in Grandma’s day! Chicken eggs are great but they are hard to get enough to actually pay for themselves. Duck eggs would be easy for us! But they’re “not regulated” in my state (IN) and therefore not able to sell. Same for baked and canned good. People don’t want to spend money on crocheted/sewn items. I’m not comfortable doing a “donation” farm stand on our property because of our setup. Farmer’s Market is seasonal. And I’m also not on social media. Is there something out there I’m not thinking of? We only have 2 acres and no immediate plans for adding larger animals to our little homestead. Help me brainstorm!
