i just got 4 showpen homers, and the breeder said they were still young, and they aren't too good at flying. anyway, how long do i have to keep them in till i can be sure they will come back?

thanks

james

How old are the birds? If the are more than a couple months old you will probably never be able to let them out.If they are just squeakers 3-4 weeks before they should be let out.

I Think What You Got Are What Americans Call American Show Racers . If So They Are Not As Well Bred For Homeing As The Racers . So After A Month And A Little Trap Training They Should Be Ok. If You Can Post Pics As There Are So Many Homer Vareitys .someone Can Tell What You Have For Sure.

they are making squeaking noises, especially when i pick them up. would one photo be suffice to tell what they are?i haven't been able to get any good pictures so far.

If they are squeaking, then they are young enough to break. Yes, one picture would be good enough to tell how old they are

Keep them in for a couple weeks to trap train and get them used to a food call.
