Ok, so this morning I was watching my chicks (about 1 week old now) and of course looking for any signs of things I should worry about. I've been lucky and haven't even had the pasty butt I've read so much about (touch wood). I spot a pink spot around the tail area on one and almost panic.... Please don't let me have a pecker already!
So I pick her up and instantly see she if fine and a possible cause of this less furry area. What am I to do but run to DH who is in his throne room and put the area to be examined under his nose saying "Look at my chicks butt!"
He still wasn't over joyed when I pointed out the new tail feathers!
Go figure! I on the other hand am thrilled! Most of my little fur butts are turning into feather butts!
Is it time to seek mental help?
In case anyone else is as insane as I am, here is a picture:
Tail feathers!!!
