She's such a pretty and personable duck! She's lucky! I hatched an egg that was meant to be eaten, too, and the resulting chicken is also sweet.

But having them also makes me feel guiltier about eating meat in general.

Yep, especially knowing the life of some of the animals that lived in stockyards and chicken factories etc.
