Honey to make sugar water?

Can I use honey instead of sugar to make sugar water? My husband is diabetic so I do t have any sugar in the house because I rarely use it. But I do have some local honey. How much per cup of water?

Mix 1/2 to 2/3 the amount of honey to equal sugar. Mix it in a cup of water and stir well, then taste it to make sure it is slightly sweet. Normally I would put a tsp of sugar in a cup of water.
