im building a hoop coop for 9 hens and a rooster how big should i make it i will move it every day or other day to keep from messing to much up

Are they bantys or standard size?

Will it have an enclosed, secure area where they will stay in bad weather and at night? If so, you will need 4 sq. ft. per chicken in that part. The run won't have to be as large as the run requirements (10 sf per chicken) since you will be moving it, but be sure they have room to move around. Chickens get bigger than you think they will.

Mine is 2 cattle pannels. I have put 10 hens in the coop without a problem. I do move it at least 2 times a week & I keep their door open to allow them to free rand during the day. I lock them up @ night. Not sure how 10 would work if I wasn't letting them out. They might go stir crazy.
