Hi
I hatched three chicks with my kids for a school project and well... you all know what happens after that!
After finding good homes for the two roos we had to purchase an extra girl so we could have two laying hens. We've had two for about a year and a half and we just hatched our second batch of chicks this week. We did a small number because we have a small coop and I wanted our broody hen to be able to experience mommy hood since she's been sticking to her nest box faithfully for about two months.
She's adopted two chicks from the incubator without a hitch and that is were we are at now. A bigger coop is under construction right now and will hopefully be done when the chicks are big enough to need more space.
