Has anybody here ever ordered from Hoover hatchery? They have the best prices on all layer breeds. I am bored so let's post pictures of all of your breeds from hoovers. I can't figure out how to post my ones on my picture folder. Oh well. I ordered 25 Producion Reds, 4 Buffs, 6 White Leghorns and some sex links. Thank you!

I really like them. There prices are great! There birds are really nice too. I think these hens are from them.

A neighbor and I ordered last fall from them and had horrible luck with our broilers, poor growth, sickly and we lost 1/3 of our 100 by 2 weeks and they lost quite a few too. The SLWs I got with mine, I gave to my amish neighbor as Hoover's forgot to vaccinate them and credited me for the chicks so I just gave them away and out of 10, all had single combs.

I have ordered Production Reds and White Leghorns from them all are great layers. The broilers we also had trouble with growth also this past year. However, if you want just egg layers you will be fine ordering from them!

I also have had bad luck with them. I ordered Cornish cross and 5 EE pullets. I have had them for a week now and 6 of the 27 have died. They don't seem to be very strong. I have lost 4 of the Cornish and 2 of the EE pullets. I also have birds from personal breeders in my brooder right now and all of them are doing great. I would not order from there. You get what you pay for. That is my first and last experience with them.

I have ordered from them for years for both broilers and layers and never had any problems with their birds. We had a bunch show up dead in the box last summer called them and they made it right. Roocrazy if the chicks died really young are you sure they were all roosters?

I live in California and bought 25 chicks from them last week. They arrived the day after the ship out date. Out of the 27 that they sent only 1 died (two days later). They even color-marked the chicks and included a page explaining which chick is what color so you can identify the different breeds! Really great hatchery and will definitely purchase from them again!

I ordered 5 black australorps, 5 white leghorns, 5 bsl, 5 barred rock, and 5 rir yesterday! I have never ordered here before but I decided to try this hatchery because of the prices! I will post again when they arrive!
