Hi,
New here and new to chickens! I have 3-week-old Easter Eggers from Hoover's hatchery. Not one of them has muffs or beards, but most are developing reddish chests and tiny "crests" like a legbar. Hoover's description of their Easter Eggers says they use the traditional Easter egger breeds but also "grunlegers" which includes legbar breed. Has anyone noticed their Hoover's (or TSC) Easter Eggers looking very much like legbars? I was sort of looking forward to the little beards, etc, but crests are cool, too. Just a little surprised that these aren't what I expected. Can't wait to see how they finally turn out.
